Amazon by now I think we have all heard of, used, still use, or have used this transaction giant site. Have you ever stood in your house and said “Alexa, what’s the weather today?” then you are aware you’re using an Amazon product. Starting off as a bookselling site this mega corp now is the biggest competition for almost any other transaction site online. It covers quite a few different parts of a transaction site as well. Offering tv & movie streaming, to e-books, music, etc. You can even have your very own e-commerce storefront on Amazon now. The options are endless and it just keeps growing.
Amazon makes money in a couple of different ways. It has a subscription program such as Amazon Prime for multimedia and cheap product shipping options. It also makes money through it’s retail selling, although that’s actually a fairly small, if not money losing part of the company. It has begun making money through investing heavily into ads more recently.
