Patch Tool – Removed Item

Layer Mask – Lower Saturation of background item

I’m not completely sure I understood this exercise. However, I did a main edit of each of the images in LRC and then moved them into PSD to clean up a couple of parts in the images. In the first one there was the edge of a bowl that I didn’t like having in the shot. I didn’t want to crop out the other pieces as I liked the aesthetic of them, so I used the patch tool to just remove that one piece.

In the second set, I really love this picture, but the bright pink bag in the background really pulls the eye away from where it should be, so I did a layer mask and took the saturation down for that one area.

I really like editing the photos in LRC, so I have gotten into the habit of doing the majority of my edits there. I have done work in PSD with adding different edit layers on top of the image and am comfortable using it, but very much prefer just using PSD for bigger edits like the ones I have shown here.
