- Team Communication : SLACK
- For Team communication Slack is one of the top platforms. It’s easy for us to use to communicate with our team members. Such as different channels and privacy chats options to be able to collaborate with your team and not have the information available for anyone in SLACK. It also has a feature to archive old conversations that are no longer needed, to keep the space clean and organized. SLACK is also great, because it integrates with Google Drive for easy document sharing as well
- Document Sharing: Google Drive
- Google Drive is an excellent document sharing platform. It supports many different file types which makes it a great tool for our team to be able to share anything we need to. We like this platform because you also don’t need to have your own account to be able to view the documents being shared. You can just share a link and depending on permission settings anyone with the link can view the necessary files.
- Version Control: GitHub
- GitHub is used for version control. It’s a platform for us to keep up with the current version of a project. Allowing anyone to be able to go in and see what changes have been made in the code. It also has a marketplace, so that we can stay up to date with new integration tools.
- Prototyping: Uizard
- Uizard is a prototyping tool that we can use to create mockups of web apps, websites and interfaces. It’s a really user friendly prototyping tool that creates interactive pages. This software allows us to create an interactive page and give us the ability to send the link to our client to test out the functionality on for themselves before time is spent on the full build.
- Time Tracking: ClickUp
- Clickup is fastly becoming one of the only apps we need for our team. Along with everything mentioned below it also comes with a time tracker for us to use. When we use the app for our projects we can attach the tracker directly to whichever project we are working on so they work seamlessly together.
- Project Management: ClickUp
- Clickup is one of the current top apps that integrates basically everything we need as a team for any project. This app allows us to have teams, projects, folders, all of it in one place. It’s quite helpful being able to tag a team member directly in whichever area they are needed to work on. This app supports all of the aspects of a project. It has functions like spreadsheets, time tracking, chats, document sharing and more.
- Code Testing: Mochajs
- Mochajs is the integration software we use when testing our javascript. It’s run off of github, so makes keeping multiple apps in one place easier. It’s an app that we can install directly into our code to test it as we go and works hand in hand with node.js.
- Digital Marketing Analytics: Improvado
- Improvado is a centralized marketing analytics app which allows us to keep all of our marketing analytics in once place. What’s good about this app is it lets us run analytics from all of our platforms. Instead of us having to run multiple data sheets it pulls in all of our data into one big report, so we are able to directly compare the numbers from all the platforms we are running marketing campaigns on.
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization): Semrush
- Semrush software allows us to run SEO tests on our website. We can run our domain through it’s overview tool and get a full report on how our website is doing and where the SEO can be improved. It has also been really useful, because it has a full database of the best performing keywords.
- Page Speed Testing: Pingdom
- Pingdom allows us to run page speed tests for free. It takes a few moments and finishes with a results page. It gives good feedback on things like where our page is lagging and information about what is causing it ie. how much space is being used for images and how much space is being taken up therefore causing drag on a pages loading times.
